Many of us are now living the majority of our lives online. It is where we work, our social communication and connection, it is our entertainment and play. All of this screen time comes at a cost, which manifests differently for each of us. In this podcast we will look at different ways that people are being resilient in their everyday lives in their pursuit to show up for themselves on a daily basis. It is our hope that you will find a few tricks and tools to add to your own survival kit while recognizing that the struggle is REAL... for all of us.
So put aside your ideals of perfection, control and normalcy and spend some time on this roller-coaster with us as we try to find some balance, and live well while living online.
Living Well is hosted by Tami Reilly, director of fitness and well-being at Quinnipiac University. The first season was produced by Michael Bachmann, and the second season is produced by Reinett Chefu. Executive producer is David DesRoches, director of community programming.
about the host
Tami Reilly, director of fitness & well being, joined Quinnipiac in 2003 and has been working in the area of fitness and wellness for her entire career. She had had a role in overseeing all aspects of the fitness center, recreation programming and campus wellness and currently is focusing on well being initiatives and programs. Prior to her role at Quinnipiac, Tami was working in the fitness industry opening clubs, personal training and teaching a variety of group exercise classes.
Tami works with the student fitness instructors on campus mentoring and guiding them as well as acting as an international fitness presenter and continuing education provider in the global community. Additionally, she is the advisor to a variety of student organizations, a faculty leader for the Global Solidarity Spring Break program, serves on a number of committees and hosts a variety of well being programs on campus.
She is a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University and holds a bachelor's degree in sociology, a fitness and nutritional specialist certified through Gateway Community Technical College and Southern Connecticut State University as well as a MS in Organization Leadership from Quinnipiac (2009). She added a Wellness and Life Coaching certification to her portfolio in 2018.
In 2010, Reilly was honored with Quinnipiac's prestigious Center of Excellence award, given to individuals who best exemplify service to Quinnipiac's student body.
