about the podcast
Behind the White Coat is a podcast where we learn about the stories of people underrepresented in medicine through a series of conversations. My conversations range anywhere from talking with doctors to first year medical students. Regardless if you are already a med student, doctor, or have never even thought about going into medicine you will be able to connect with these stories and gain some insight on the people who make up the medical field.
The podcast is produced in partnership with the Quinnipiac University Podcast Studio, and David DesRoches, director of community programming.

Erick Melara is a third year medical student at Netter and new to the world of podcasting. He’s always been interested in people’s stories and backgrounds which is why he created the podcast “Behind the White Coat” to learn more about medical students and physicians and where they come from.
